Broccoli and Blueberry smoothie – You can’t taste the broccoli I promise

I did kind of a spur-of-the-moment freezer cleaning yesterday morning, when trying to find a bag of frozen blueberries, that I knew I had. My freezer is really small, so it shouldn’t be that hard to find. Not only did I find my blueberries for my smoothie, I also found som broccoli.
I always chop up the entire broccoli head (or whatever vegetable I’m cooking) when cooking, and then freeze whatever I’m not using. Then the hassle of chopping is already done for next meal;) #greattipalert
The point of this story is, that I then decided to add broccoli to my smoothie instead of spinach:) Changing things up is really good, when trying to add variety to your diet haha. So I took out a few pieces of broccoli and blended it together with my blueberries and frozen banana. The result was a very dark colored smoothie, that tasted amazing. No food wasted and a new recipe for you WIN WIN.
RECIPE:
- 1 frozen banana
- 1 dl. blueberries
- 1 dl. broccoli
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 1 tablespoon flax seeds
- 1 tablespoon raw cacao (with a top)
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
-
Cover ingredients with water in the blender (if you want it more liquid, add more:))
*All organic
Blend it all up and enjoy.
TIP: If your fruits and veggies aren’t frozen, add some ice cubes
BONUS: Both chia and flax seeds are great for your digestion and removing waste in your bowels.
