No Shampoo – New York City Edition

In my blue-eyed fantasy of New York, I was sure that I would be able to get my hands on anything. That?s why I only brought enough Rhassoul clay for 1 hair wash, I was certain, that it would be the easiest thing to get a hold of. I was wrong.
It either isn?t here, or I?ve been looking in all the wrong places (New York is kind of a big city). I then decided to try Bentonite clay, and let me just tell you NOT to do that! I?ve made that mistake for you to learn from, you?re welcome!
So after a few days of searching, and really bad hair days, due to the Bentonite (thank God for caps!) I decided on plan B; find something else! In this case an old fashioned shampoo ?soap bar?.
I found this J. R. LIGGET’S soap bar, when desperately searching the isles at Whole Foods. I was searching for anything natural-ish, that I could clean my hair with, anything! And there it was:) An earth friendly and people friendly (at least that?s what it says on the package) shampoo soap bar. I was SO happy, I knew all of the ingredients on the list, no chemicals, no plastic bottle, only pure natural vegetable oils.
I went straight home to try it out, and it worked perfectly! I?m not giving up clay, but I might try to copy this soap bar myself at home:)
